About this event

Grassroots Ranch Tour Announcement

We are proud to announce that we are hosting our first farm tour on our new property in Porter, Oklahoma! With hundreds of people from Oklahoma and beyond making their way to Porter in this fall to visit Livesay Orchards for pumpkins and apples, we’ve decided to offer our farm as another one of the great attractions. We will be hosting two 2 hour tours Saturdays for a limited group of individuals interested in learning more about Grassroots Ranch and our alternative regenerative style of agriculture. Daniel Rose, founder and operator of Grassroots Ranch will be guiding the tour of how Grassroots Ranch raises hundreds of animals in a sustainable and regenerative method that rejuvenates the land, restores native grasses and wildlife, and builds soil organic matter by removing carbon in the atmosphere and storing in the plants and soil. This is done purely with the goal of raising animals in the most humane and environmentally friendly way possible. All of the animals at Grassroots Ranch spend their lives on green pastures, enjoying the sunshine and fresh clean air. And the best part, Tulsa area residents get to enjoy our grass-fed meats and other locally sourced farm products through easy online ordering and next day delivery! If you are interested in participating in this event please read the details below and sign up to reserve your spot. We look forward to seeing you there!

Things To Know

This tour will be a walking tour and will be about a 1 mile walk across gravel roads and tall grass. Wearing closed toed shoes is recommended.

Weather at this time of year is variable and may easily be hot, cold or raining. Please be prepared and bring water and any other items that may be needed (i.e. sunscreen, bug repellent, rain jacket). (additional water will be available at the main headquarters before and after the tour)

Our main headquarters is air conditioned and has available restrooms.

This is a working ranch where we utilize electric fences and manage large animals. For the safety of you and your group we ask that you remain with the group at all times and that children are accompanied by an adult for the entire duration of your visit. Please do not enter any buildings or pastures unless given permission by one of the staff.

While we will be viewing each of the animals we raise on our ranch, guests are asked to not touch or interact with any of the animals and to remain outside of the designated area where livestock are located.

No pets will be allowed on the ranch during the tour. If you have a pet with you we will ask that it remain safely in your vehicle during the tour. We do have working guardian dogs on the property that are extremely friendly towards people, but do not share the same sentiment towards other animals that visit.
